New Bat Standard 2018 for Little League
As some of you may be looking at wish lists that include new baseball bats, we wanted to share information regarding new bat rules that will go into effect for the 2018 season. With this new rule, any bats that are currently approved for the 2017 season with a "Little League Approved" designation will not be allowed beginning in 2018. Bats conforming to the new standard are not available yet and will not be available until sometime in mid to late 2017. Please keep this in mind if you are shopping for a new bat as anything you buy now will only be good for one season. (This is a Little League and USA Baseball rule change, we are just the messenger.)
Please note that as of January 1, 2018, the new USA Baseball Bat Standard will be implemented. Little League-approved baseball bats that are approved for use for the 2017 season will no longer be acceptable for use in any Little League game or activity starting on January 1, 2018.
Starting on January 1, 2018, the new USA Baseball Standard will be implemented across all Little League baseball divisions and Little League-approved bats will no longer be acceptable for use in
any Little League game or activity
